Launch of Changi Airport Terminal 3 (Singapore)


Changi Airport T3 is finally ready. It has commence its operation on January 9 2008. The 380,000 square meter terminal, located directly opposite Terminal 2, boasts seven-storeys, and cost S$1.75 billion to build. It will have a handling capacity of 22 million passengers annually, bringing Changi Airport's total annual passenger handling capacity to about 70 million.


What is so great about Changi Airport T3 as compared to T2?

- It features unique roof architecture which allow soft natural light into the building.

- There is a five storey vertical garden, called the 'Green Wall' will span 300 meters across the main building, and passengers will be able to see this structure from both the Departure and Arrival halls.

- more than 25,000 square meters of space has been set aside for more than 100 retail, food & beverage outlets, and service concessions.


The transport between to and fro from terminals is only 3 minutes.
